The neighborhood grocer and butcher is no longer a staple of a bygone era; it’s making a comeback with the opening of The Meat House this afternoon in Chadds Ford.
In 2003, two lifelong friends with many successful years in the restaurant industry revived the neighborhood butcher by opening The Meat House in Portsmouth, NH. This week, the franchise will open their 29th location and first PA store at 200 Wilmington West Chester Pike in Chadds Ford.
The Meat House’s mission is genuine hospitality for every customer, every day. To owners Scott Gagnon and his dad, Don Gagnon, that starts with hiring an executive team with culinary training and years of experience in the service industry. Doors are opened for every customer, bags are carried out and each supervisor can offer cooking times and tips for anything in the store.
